Application:
Benzalkonium chloride, as a bactericidal algaecide, is widely used in circulating cooling water in factories, water in power plants, paper mills, oilfield injection system, as well as the disinfection of medical equipment. It can also be used in swimming pools, laundries, sanitary disinfection and washing in public places, and equipment cleaning in food industry. BKC can be used with other bactericides, such as isothiazolinone, glutaraldehyde, dithiocyanomethane and so on to give a synergistic effect. But it can not be used with chlorophenol agents. It is also a leveling agent for cationic dyeing of acrylic fibers.
